  • Wasted resources are locked away in the millions of plastic bags in landfills, consuming a large fraction of available landfill space.
  • The littering of streets, drains, landscapes, and waterways, often resulting in flooding.
  • Potential hazards of suffocating infants, small children, and wildlife.
    Emission of toxic fumes through burning of plastic bags

We need lots more press on this issue. Consumers must get into using reusable bags for their produce and bulk foods too. They last for a very long time, are in themselves recyclable, and provide us with a responsible choice. Best, Diana www.carebagsonline.com
