Abstract:
About 15 million barrels of oil are required to make the 124 billion plastic grocery bags we consume annually in the U.S. At the current price of crude oil (US $ 130/barrel), to make 124 billion plastic bags would cost US $ 1.95 billion dollars. If so, what the American consumers pay at the grocery and convenience stores?
