We at SmilEarth.com, like many of you, aspire to leave our children and grand children with an earth in the same condition, as it was 50 plus years ago. Back then, earth did not face problems it faces today; thanks to our grandparents and their parents for whatever they chose to do, it seems that they acted responsibly and left for us a smiling earth.Today, earth is not in the same condition; the culture of using disposable products is not always earth-friendly. No matter which metrics one chooses to gauge the mood of earth, it is very clear that our earth is no longer Smiling and it is time to GO GREEN.

We are committed to create awareness about the impact of using plastic shopping bags on earth and its environment. We also offer affordable alternative products that are earth friendly. There are many reasons for considering bringing our own reusable shopping bags when we go for shopping.

We have embraced the use of plastic bags for our shopping convenience. There is no easy solution for dealing with the plastic waste. However, the consequences of our inaction are unimaginable. One solution is to bring our own reusable fabric bags, just like what we used to do before plastic bags became popular. This would require some sacrifice of shopping convenience on our part. It is a sacrifice for a worthy cause of reducing the burden of plastic waste on earth and its environment. Our commitment for this cause lies in our pledge to donate 10% of the annual net revenue to a not-for-profit organization that is committed to protect our earth and its environment. Together, we can do it.

Smilearth bags are elegantly designed reusable shopping bags. These shopping bags are made from 100% biodegradable Jute (also known as Burlap), cotton, or cotton canvas, a natural and renewable resource. Cotton and Jute fabrics are historically well known for their tensile strength and durability. Each SmilEarth bag is capable of potentially reducing the consumption of approximately 3,000 plastic grocery bags over its lifetime. As shown here, reusable fabric bag holds more grocery items compared with the disposable plastic bag. For added convenience, we also offer bags with long shoulder handles and bags specifically designed for wine bottles. Since we are constantly looking for ways to improve and bring new earth-friendly products for the consumers, we would like to hear your suggestions and comments. GO GREEN by shopping with SmilEarth Bags.

About 15 million barrels of oil are required to make the 124 billion plastic grocery bags we consume annually in the U.S. At the current price of crude oil (US $ 130/barrel), to make 124 billion plastic bags would cost US $ 1.95 billion dollars. No waste product causes more confusion for users of recycling programs than plastic because plastics come in chemically diverse polymers.
